Along with some books, few but wise
Quevedo

always keep poetry books on hand
far from the others
separate
where you won’t forget them

where you can always see them
even if you never read or you’ve abandoned them
keep your poetry books close
next to your bed
as a headboard
or a bed
never further away
always where dreams happen
where you shut your eyes fearlessly
close to where you make love as close as possible
to where you make love
that’s where they should be
