Ana Brnardić was born in Zagreb in 1980. She has published four books of poetry that received several prestigious Croatian awards for poetry: “Pisaljka nekog mudraca” (The Pen of a Sage, 1998.); “Valcer zmija” (The Snake Waltz, 2005.); “Postanak ptica” (The Creation of Birds, 2009); “Uzbrdo” (Uphill, 2015).
Her two books were published abroad: “Hotel cu muzicieni” (Bucharest, Romania, 2009; translated into Romanian by Dumitru M. Ion); “Fåglarnas tillblivelse” (“Postanak ptica”; Rámus förlag, Malmö, Sweden, 2016., translated into Swedish by Djordje Zarkovic.).
