Hai An, pseudonym for Li Ding-jun, a Chinese poet and translator, was born in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province. He studied at the Foreign Languages Department of Hangzhou University. Now he is the Associate Professor at the College of Foreign Languages and Literature, Fudan University, Shanghai. Concurrently he is the Vice Chief-Editor and Editorial Director of Contemporary Poetry Quarterly (Bilingual) based in Hong Kong. He is the author of many books including Selected Poems by Hai An (2001, 2003), A Centennial Anthology of Sino-Occidental Poetry Translation (2007). In 2007, he was invited to participate in the XV International Poetry Festival in Rosario, Argentina. In 2009, he was invited to participate in the Second Qinghai Lake International Poetry Festival in China.
