Ioana IERONIM, Romanian poet, essayist, playwright and translator, author of Triumful Paparudei : The Triumph of the Water Witch (narrative poetry, translated by Adam J. Her drama translations, from Shakespeare to Tony Kushner and Goran Stefanovski, are in the current repertoire in Romania. Her working engagements included being an editor, cultural journalist, Romania’s cultural attache to Washington D.C. (1992-96) and Fulbright program director in Romania. Member of the Writers’ Union; and of the PEN in Romania (former secretary). Member of the board of the international poetry journal POEM, UK. Currently she is a freelancer and lives in Bucharest.
