Ivica Celikovic was born in 1962 in Skopje. He finished Interdisciplinary Studies in journalism in Skopje. He also studied at the Institute for Journalism and Mass Communication in Gothenburg, Sweden, where he lives and works. He is a member of the Society of Writers of Macedonia from 1990. Since 2003 he has been a member of the Union of Swedish Writers. He has written several books of poetry, which were published starting from 1990, and the last one in 2010 and one novel in 2004. His verses have been translated into English, Swedish and Persian. He has won many awards and certificates of appreciation, among which Young Struga. He translates works from Swedish and Norwegian literature in Macedonian. He has translated about twenty books of famous Swedish writers, and he has composed the anthology “Macedonian Poetry”, which was published in Swedish with his translation.
