Jorge Palma was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1961. He is the author of the poetry collections: Utopias’ Place, Heaven’s Diary, The Milky Way, The Oblivion, Between the Wind and the Shadow, as well as the short story collection Artificial Paradises. For the poetry collection Heaven’s Diary he has received an award from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay. Besides the poetry activity, ha also teaches and holds writing workshops in the organization of the Ministry of Education and Culture, as well as hosting a literary radio programme for the promotion of Uruguayan and foreign writers and books.
