Mari Kashiwagi was born in Erlangen, Germany 1970. She is a Japanese poet and curator. She won an award of the prestigious poetry magazine, Gendaishi Techo (1995). Her first collection, Music, of Days, was published in 2000. The second book, Nectar’s root as far as its Resonance reaches (2008), came out in 2008. Excerpts from it are presented in the Poetry International Web. Spanish translation of it is planned to be published in Madrid.
Her interest in both words and images, and the chemistry between different mediums, is also reflected in her active involvement with the collaborations between artists and musicians. She also formed a band with a singer, a pianist and composers of contemporary music.
