Raimonda Moisiu was born in 1957, in Korca, Albania. She studied English Linguistics and Literature at the University of Tirana. After completing her studies, she worked as an English teacher for 19 years until she left homeland and immigrated to USA. She has published books of poetry, short stories, essays and a novel, and also was co-author of three poetry anthologies. She is also engaged as reporter for various Albanian-American papers in USA. She lives and works in the Hartfford, Connecticut, USA, as a primary education teacher. She is working on a poetry book and a prose book as well.
