Tom Petsinis is a novelist, playwright and poet. He was born in Macedonia, Greece, and immigrated to Australia as a child. He lives in Melbourne and works as a mathematics lecturer at Victoria University.His publications include: Poetry: The Blossom Vendor, Sonnets: Offerings from Mount Athos, Inheritance, Naming the Number, Four Quarters, My Father’s Tools. ; Fiction: Raising the Shadow, The French Mathematician, The Twelfth Dialogue, The Death of Pan. ; Plays: The Drought, The Picnic, Elena and the Nightingale, Salonika Bound, Hypatia’s Circle.

His work has been translated into a number of languages.
